I have dreamed of having my own photography business for at least 15 years. After years of telling my kids all of the encouraging things that us parents say, you know the ones...
"Go for it!"
"You won't know until you try"
"What do you have to lose"
"Don't let fear stop you"...
I realized that I was being a hypocrite. How can I expect them to follow their dreams if I am not willing to do the same? And really...if not now, then when? So I dove head first in to being a small business owner. Man, has it ever been a learning curve! I still have SO much to learn.
Are you a small business owner? If so, what made you decide to take the leap? Also, if you have any tips on running your own small business, I would love to hear them.
This blog will allow me to bring you along on my journey. I hope you will join me!
Until next time,
Becky

Hi, I’m Becky. Welcome to my first blog post! It's a new year - time to try something new!
I decided it would be fun to have a blog where I could share my love and passion for all things photography, client sneak peeks, some behind the scenes, photowalk adventures, tips and tricks and any other fun things that come to mind.
First though…a little about me.
My crazy life includes my husband, Matt, our two kids (Riley and Ashton), 2 cats (Boots and Snickers), and 1 giant black lab named Hershey. I work full-time outside of the home and run Stuhr Photography LLC in my “spare time”.
I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. My husband bought my my first “real camera” early on in our marriage and has supported me ever since. I can talk about photography and why it is so important for days so I will save that for another post. :)
A few other “warnings” I should disclose to you about this blog…
-You may see too many photos of my big baby Hershey
-I use the word “awesome” too much
-I use exclamation points too often!
I am sure that I will discover many more things as I continue writing these posts but these are the 3 main ones that I can think of right now!
Thanks for stopping by! Happy New Year!
Until next time,
Becky
